Important features of Huawei Nova Plus

Huawei Nova Plus has 5.5" IPS LCD display with 1920x1080 pixels screen resolution. 1080p is not latest resolution, but the 401ppi pixel density is enough for a mid-range smartphone. Its airplane-grade full aluminum body design gives excellent durability.

It features Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, octa-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 506 GPU. Huawei nova plus is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chip, which is the not same as in top-end smartphones. The System on chip has a total of eight Cortex-A53 cores, running at 2.0 GHz, and new Adreno 506 GPU. The highlight of the chip is that it is manufactured using a 14nm process. It is the same fabrication process Qualcomm uses for its top-range chips like Snapdragon 820 and is not quite common in mid-range chips. It allows less power consumption and reducing running temperature.

It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage memory.

Huawei Nova Plus has Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Emotion UI 4.1 and features Knuckle gestures. This mobile phone features a notification center in the Phone Manager app, from which user can control which applications can send three types of available notifications as the shade notifications, the lockscreen notifications and the banner style notifications. Scheduled power on and off is also available in the device. The Smart Assistance package also offers Glove mode, and an option to prevent accidental unlocks while the mobile phone is in the pocket.

It has 16MP rear camera with dual-color LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, optical image stabilization, hybrid autofocus, PDAF+ contrast detection and 4K video recording. It has shooting modes like HDR, Manual, Super Night, All focus, and Watermark mode. Super Night mode is a slow shutter one, where the shutter speed and ISO are chosen automatically, depending on the scene. The Manual option allows user to adjust camera exposure settings. It has 8MP front-facing selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording.

Huawei Nova Plus has 3340mAh Li-Po non-removable battery with rapid charging.

It has connectivity options like Cat. 7 LTE (300/150Mbps), dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, NFC, GPS/GLONASS and USB Type-C.

Huawei Nova Plus is available in Prestige Gold, Titanium Gray and Moonlight Silver colors.

Huawei Nova Plus also has some disadvantages like no scratch-resistant screen coating, non-removable battery and single-band Wi-Fi support.
